It began with two very practical situations.

In the first, a child needed help with school: another explanation of a topic, a similar exercise, a return to something that was still unclear. One explanation is often not enough. What matters is finding a useful example, understanding where the difficulty lies and patiently taking the next step.

In the second, a friend moved to another country and considered a new profession. He had worked in distribution and wanted to try IT. But where should he begin in his particular situation? Which skills could carry over, what would he need to learn from scratch, and how could he explore the field before committing months to it?

Both situations led to the same question: how can learning be built around a particular person, with a route that changes as their knowledge and needs change?

This became the idea behind EvoluteMe: a space where a goal turns into a route. A learner should not have to begin on the first page every time. In a personal course, the starting point depends on the learner’s goal and initial level. Further learning can take account of answers, practice and topics that need another visit.

AI can help connect explanations to a familiar context. One learner may benefit from an everyday example; another from a task drawn from previous work. Voice support adds ways to engage with the material. The explanation should help someone understand a topic and put it into practice.

We want learning to adapt to the person in difficulty, sequence and study routine. The route should remain understandable and manageable when schedules change or someone returns after a break.

Our friend’s situation inspired another idea: a collection of introductory courses for common professions. People could become familiar with a field, try representative tasks and understand the work before making a major career change.

For a school student, this can make a future career choice easier to understand. For an adult, it offers a way to explore a new field and connect previous experience to new skills. We want to provide room for this exploration and for further learning.

The next step was to open the platform to course authors. Teachers, specialists and practitioners have knowledge that can help others. They need tools to turn experience and materials into a clear sequence of topics, lessons and practical tasks.

We are building a place where authors can adapt courses to the platform’s structure, publish them and develop their own educational storefront. Our goal is to let authors earn from their knowledge while learners find programmes grounded in an author’s experience.

We believe the opportunity to explore a new field and begin learning should be available wherever someone lives. We therefore decided that introductory courses should be free, and that people should be able to take several courses each month without paying.

This is the direction in which we are developing EvoluteMe: an accessible starting point, useful practice, learning that takes account of the person, and a space for authors. A small next step can open a new profession, help with school or let an author’s knowledge reach people around the world.
